Sia Chandelier - Never Give Up

HTML email (weffashion.blogspot.com)
let it all go, dance your heart out

Life's lesson is always the hardest to learn. Just when you thought you have survive the greatest hurt in your life. Life comes back haunting you with another lesson. I asked myself why is this happening to me. Did I deserve all this? Why did I believe so easily? Was it all a dream? It would be easier to believe it was all a dream and nothing was real. My question, why did you do all that, make me believe it was real and then leave me in tears.

I know it has been an emotional ride this year for me. Readers, you have not seen me open up myself so much about my life, though still vaguely indescribable I am beginning to be more human than ever. This song - Sia Chandelier, is dedicated to all the women who has been hurt through one way or another. Let the hurt go, be strong, dance all your might and leave it all behind.

After all life's lessons are the most hardest. If you survive it, you will survive anything. Including yourself. Merry Christmas.

"Chandelier"
Party girls don't get hurt
Can't feel anything, when will I learn?
I push it down, push it down

I'm the one "for a good time call"
Phone's blowin' up, ringin' my doorbell
I feel the love, feel the love

1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, drink
1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, drink
1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, drink

Throw 'em back 'til I lose count

I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier
I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist
Like it doesn't exist
I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier

But I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down, won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Help me, I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down, won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight

Sun is up, I'm a mess
Gotta get out now, gotta run from this
Here comes the shame, here comes the shame

On for tonight
'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Oh, I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight
On for tonight
'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight
'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Oh, I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight
On for tonight

Retail Therapy: Transitions Signatureâ„¢ lenses

HTML email (weffashion.blogspot.com)
oh my eyes *squint squint*

My Christmas retail therapy continues with me wanting anything that's an upgrade to whatever I have. After getting a new pair of shades from Malaya Optical, I also gotten a new pair of frames to be fitted with the latest Transitions® Signatureâ„¢ lenses. My old pair, if anyone remembers was the beautiful Tiffany frame with shade changing Transition lenses. Read my post about it here to find out what's Transition lenses. Being kiasu (scare to lose) I want everything latest, like following fashion trend, eye wear and lenses also got trend okay!.

I know everyone loves my signature over sized frames and ask me not to change but I needed one that looks more "work" worthy. You know one that I could wear to meetings and people won't think I'm some blogger or college student. A professional one and I'll fit it with Transitions® Signatureâ„¢ lenses.

Transitions® Signatureâ„¢ lenses introduces Chromea7â„¢ photochromic technology

So I did some googling and saw this tv commercial on Transitions® Signatureâ„¢ lenses. It's their newest, most responsive adaptive lenses. Read below for the introduction about it and the advantages. The best part is now I can choose to have it in black or brown shade changing colours. Read here about the Chromea7â„¢ photochromic technology. You can also play the virtual viewer to see the shades changing according to different scenarios.

TRANSITIONS® SIGNATURE™ LENSES
Fully clear indoors â€" but outside, they’re more responsive than ever thanks to our exclusive Chromea7â„¢ photochromic technology. They are more reactive to UV light so they get darker in more conditions, including bright sun, partially sunny, cloudy, and everything in between. They also adapt to indirect light â€" such as light reflected from buildings, cars, and many other surfaces. They continuously adapt to changing light so they’re always exactly the shade you need them to be.
  • Fully clear indoors and at night
  • Fast fade back speed
  • Block 100% of UVA & UVB rays
  • Fit any prescription and frame
  • Suitable for any age including children
choosing a frame to fit my new lenses

I went to Focus Point 1 Utama since they have Transitions® Signatureâ„¢ lenses after checking http://www.transitions.com/en-my/where-to-buy.  I knew they were having sale on branded frames. I looked over Prada, Coach, Tom Ford and then fell in love with Burberry. It was simple, stylish and just so Burberry (I love Burberry!). Perfect simple frame to own for my eye wear collection. It retails for over RM1,200.00 but with the 30% discount, I'm only paying RM878.00 for it. As for the Transitions® Signatureâ„¢ lenses, the price varies from shop to shop so inquire within.

so I bought the frame and it comes with a certificate of authenticity

it's made of titanium *level up yay*

my next retail therapy is to fit this pink cute frames with lenses as well

Yeah I'm the Burberry kinda girl and being atas also means I want the best lenses to be fitted if I have the money. This is yet another Christmas gift to myself because of the series of unfortunate events that happened in 2014. Which explains why I am so broke this month due to my retail therapy "treatment".  Well, I'll be continuing my story once I get my frames back after it's fitted with the new Transitions® Signatureâ„¢ lenses. Can't wait to see how different it is now with the Chromea7â„¢ photochromic technology. Anyhow if anyone is interested to find out more about Transition lenses check out their website to read up http://www.transitions.com/en-my.

Sequined Pants and Mermaid Hair

HTML email (weffashion.blogspot.com)
I have sparkly thighs, let's explore.
Slim Lapel Blazer and Sequined Pants via ASOS Curve | Tank c/o 17 Sundays | Earrings via Bauble Bar | Hair, Pretty Curls 247 (email to order) | Lipstick FACE Stockholm in Eggplant

I was recently invited to a French Connection US party, but of course I worked all night and couldn't attend (boohoo!). However it did get me looking at the brand and I became obsessed with their sequined trousers. For my straight size readers, if you don't snag these...you don't love yourself.

For my curvy and plus size girls...at first it made me really sad that this magic didn't exist in my size but then I remembered the awesome sequined pants I have from ASOS Curve that I bought a few years back (I think we all bough these right?) but, I  never wore them. Now, old becomes new and all is right with the world. These are different than the French Connection version but a solid substitute for sparkly thighs.

You also might notice that my hair is on mermaid status. This amazingness is courtesy of my uber talented sister, Karla. It's a u-part unit (which means my hair is out in the front and the rest is protected!). I've been heat styling my hair for about a year so I basically murdered my afro, oops. This allows me to have the look I want with like 90% less heat! It works for every hair type and she ships worldwide! Have questions? Email her, you can also follow her new Instagram here.

Getting Back to 30 Minutes a Day (or Haters Can Kiss My Fat Ass)

HTML email (weffashion.blogspot.com)

Battle of the Santas Big

Help us keep bringing you sharp, critical commentary like this by donating to our fundraiser and voting for a dollar whether you prefer Fat Santa or Skinny Santa.

Weight LossFat PoliticsFat HealthExerciseMy Boring-Ass LifeDickweedDiet Talk

Trigger warning: Discussion of diet and exercise to improve health.

Just about a year ago, I realized I had to do something to help myself feel better. I was physically miserable â€" collapsing with exhaustion by 3:30 in the afternoon, suffering from a lot of swelling and water retention, hurting, not sleeping.

So I started a 100 Day Eat the Food Experiment that involved eating a minimum number of calories a day that took my personal basal metabolic rate (BMR) into account and exercising at least 10 minutes a day (which grew to about an hour a day). The results were pretty spectacular. I felt almost shockingly better after about six weeks, and I kept feeling better and better and better.

And now, a year later, I’m still feeling pretty good. Not as good as I could, though. I let myself be distracted by haters who, most significantly, went crazy when I called myself an athlete. I let myself be torn down. And when my shoulder started hurting and I needed to let it rest–I let myself fall away from what was working.

Fucking haters. (I actually feel sorry for them. I can’t imagine what’s happening inside of a person that leads to spending your time the way that they do. But still, FUCKING HATERS.)

Here’s the thing though: 30 minutes of exercise a day is like magic â€" at least for me. It improves my mood. It improves my health. It gives me energy. It reduces my risk for all kinds of health issues. And if considering myself an athlete helps keep me motivated to keep moving, then yeah â€" I can’t even begin to fathom why a bunch of people who purport to be in support of people exercising (especially fat people) would have a problem with that.

I can’t control them, of course. I wouldn’t even want to try, because EW. But I’m unhappy with myself for letting them get to me so deeply. I mean, I actually did feel like an athlete. And what’s wrong with that?

I was thinking about this recently â€" wondering why I feel the need to put on an athletic mindset for exercise. I guess part of it is because I was a competitive athlete for a long time, and I like feeling some of that again. I like competing with myself. I like feeling that I’m working toward some physical goal.

I’m frustrated with myself for letting people who mean nothing to me get to me.

But that’s what’s going on. And then I had something happen in the last month or so that doesn’t have anything to do with my personal health, but that really made me realize that I can’t let assholes who get off on tearing other people down make my decisions for me. It doesn’t matter that I still am struggling to regain my athletic mindset. I want the benefits of exercise.

I need the benefits of exercise.

So, I’m back on the wagon. Starting with a commitment to 10 minutes a day â€" because for whatever reason that amount of time is enough to motivate me to start. I feel like in 2014, I really got the eating part of Health at Every Size® (HAES) and Eat the Food and, oh I don’t know, the whole life thing, under control. I’m making 2015 about really getting a handle on getting at least 30 minutes of exercise a day.

I’ve shared this video before, but it’s worth watching again. Thirty minutes of exercise a day is a goal worth pursuing for reasons that have zero to do with weight.

You Better Shape up..........! (Sponsored Video)

HTML email (weffashion.blogspot.com)It's less than three weeks to Christmas and, with our calendar rapidly filling up with party dates, our good intentions to shape up for Christmas are slowly dwindling..... lucky for us, the Marks and Spencer Shape Wear collection will have us feeling slender and looking sexy, making sure the only thing looking lumpy is your Mum's dodgy gravy.
The Ultimate Shaping Magic Cupped DD-G Body
with Magicwear Technology, M&S, €54
The All Rounder: Magic Cupped Body
This magic wear body is a shapewear must have, which is why I have one myself. Under any outfit this versatile body gives a perfect silhouette to all shapes and sizes. The in-built bra is true to size, so don't worry if buying online.
Can also be worn sleeveless!
For the Party Dress: Waist Sculpt Slip
Firm Control Waist Sculpt Chevron
Wear your Own Bra Slip M&S, €47.50
A slip is perfect to pop under a party dress and it can be worn with your own bra, which is really handy for those with irregular bra sizes. The length of the slip will streamline any hang up areas around your thighs, something you won't get with the body suit above.
Ultimate Magic Low Leg Knickers
with Magic Wear Technology, M&S, €27
The Quick and Easy: Magic Low Leg Knickers
While a body will give you a sexy silhouette, a pair of "sucky-in" knicks will also do the job. If you have a winter wedding or a day into night party, these will give you the tummy control of a body suit while staying cool and comfortable.
The Super Sexy:Light Control All Over Lace Body
Whoever is under your mistletoe this festive season, say Happy Christmas with the sexiest of all shape wear, the all over lace body. It has lighter control than the ones above but will still keep your shape intact. If mommy kisses Santa Claus in this - we'll all be getting extra presents.

See? I told you getting in shape is a lot easier than you think!
