Long time followers of my blog might recall the #WomenAreBack campaign that I was involved in a few years ago with the brand Marina Rinaldi. In what still seems like a dream I was flown out to Milan with eleven fellow plus size bloggers to partake in a campaign with the luxury plus size brand. It was the most surreal moment of my blogging career, abnd I still feel so luck to have been asked to be part of the incredible event.

Recently, beautiful Luca from Marina Rinaldi contacted me and asked me if I would like to partake in their ‘Curvy Cities’ campaign. It involved 5 bloggers from the ‘Women Are Back’ project, and I was absolutely chuffed to have been asked to be involved with the brand once again. Luca flew to England with the wonderful photographer Cara Peeney and after I was made glamorous by a wonderful hair and make up artist, Cara took some photos of around the elegant streets of Chelsea.
I have to say that being dolled up and dressed to toe in elegant beautiful clothes was wandering around Chelsea was rather fantastic. I felt like a superstar and I was super sad when the shoot came to an end. Cara was so good at getting the very best from me and adding lots of movement and story telling to the photos. I am so used to the pin up poses, but this was elegant with a pop of vintage and a dash of pin up and it was lovely to do. Wearing designer clothes never hurts either!
I had the pleasure to meet the founder of Beauty Guide early this month and we chatted for 3-hours sharing about our experiences in this industry. With that came an interview which I happily said yes. A few days ago, Nicholas fb me to say it's out! I rushed over the net to check the interview and I was surprised they went through my blog to pick some pretty sentimental photographs of me for their feature. Thank you Beauty Guide for the lovely interview, I hope you don't mind that I share it on my blog for my readers to read as well.
Butt erfly Pr oject is a community for beauty and lifestyle bloggers and social influencers. It's a place where likeminded individuals in the pursuit and passion of sharing their personal interests, experiences and reviews could gather and exchange ideas. The community started out with one key goal - to mentor and empower female bloggers through a series of experiential activities called projects. Being passionate about what you do and inspiring others in the process of it, is what sets the community apart from others. Connecting brands and bloggers together, we believe this duo combination would create a wildfire of imaginative experiences to be read by millions.
9.) Can you tell us more about WEVents? I am the President of WEVents (http://www.wevents.com.my/), a community for working women to get connected and socialised together. It's a women's only men not invited affair. The founde r is non other than Jeanisha Wan from J1 Consulting firm. She was also a columnist for The Star newspaper. WEVents is founded to empower women through a series of events under a theme for each year. Every year there's a min of 3 social events to carry out. This year, we are planning for our 5th Anniversary celebration in Aug/Sept. Brands or companies interested in CSR programmes and enriching women would find our community engaging.
10.) Have you used BeautyGuide.com.my before, and if not, what do you think about it? I have a glimpse of it and I think that this would be the one stop beauty guide in Malaysia for women to visit and get their daily dose of beauty tips, advices and how to's from the comfort of their own home. There is a lot of potential for growth and engagement to consumers and the public mass via such a platform. I would like to see it excel.

I could never get enough of standup comedies in Malaysia. Granted I just discovered the exciting world of the funnies since I stumbled upon Crackhouse Comedy Club, which is the first comedy club house in Malaysia introducing comedians both local and international to Malaysians. Which is something I am deeply grateful for because I didn't know how good our comedy scene is until they showed it to me. They made my life funny, colourful and I got to also learn what it takes to be a comedian, the rules of being at a stand up comedy (like don't sit in front, don't he ckle, do n't talk during a show, etc).

one with the Paul Ogata who made us laugh like shit
Once I go crack I can't never turn back haha. It's so true because the entrance fees to comedy shows can't be compared to the Crackhouse which starts f rom RM15 to RM30 (depending on what's the show of the day). On Wednesdays, it's open mike night for RM15. This is where you come and chill out, watching would be or seasoned comedians do their new thing or practice their materials. On Thursday, it gets fun for RM20. The comedians do Hack the Crack, which means improv. Improv is improvisation. My experience was watching 5 comedians do their thing and later, they would be randomly assigned by surprise to re-act to a comedian who performed earlier. This is where it gets real funny. I enjoy Thursday a lot!
Paul Ogata - Problem with Chinese Restaurants
On Fridays and Saturdays, it's RM30 per pop because weekends are where the good stuff comes in. Headliners (star comedians of the show) comes in to make you lau gh. They 're seasoned, popular, celebrities of the comedy scene from all over the world. I've seen Australians, UK, Singaporeans, Malaysians, and Americans. My favourite is by far now Paul Ogata from America. He's so god dam good. I missed his act so much.

Now if you have never been to a stand up comedy club, or have friends to bring around in Kuala Lumpur, or you're new in Kuala Lumpur, going to the Crackhouse Comedy Club would be an eye opener to the comedy scene in Malaysia. They're having their first birthday celebration this week by unleashing awesome shows starting this Wednesday. Since it's their birthday, the shows are specially crafted for the celebration. Check out their web site and their facebook page to find out what you don't want to miss :) and enjoy the LOL ride.

Circa 2009, I was going to to movies with two of my besties. (Just a little back story, but my friends before blogging have all been thin. I was always the fat girl of the group.) My best girlfriend is 6'1 modelesque looks, legs for days, and athletic build and my best guy friend is 6'2, works out a lot, with an athletic build. Now you are starting to draw a picture. We are going to the movies, so we are getting ready, and I come out of my bedroom in a thrifted sundress and sandals. My girlfriend is in a t-shirt and jeans, and guy friend is in cargo shorts and a tee. Now both of them ar e clowni ng me for "dressing up." Now my friend with her runway model stature looks amazing in a t-shirt and jeans the same goes for my guy friend. In 2009, jeans and t-shirt did not exist for me, and it is hard to make people understand with certain body types, that as to where they can throw on that classic combination and still look good. To this day, this story is still recanted to me by male BFF of how I threw on a "ball gown" to go to the movies. You see how rumors get started. LOL. This was still a time in plus sizes where there still weren't a lot of options, and a simple thing like finding a t-shirt that fit you correctly was still very hard to do.
Now here it is 2015, and I get to enjoy the casual luxury of wearing the beloved t- shirt an d jeans, and it was all because the $10 v-neck tee that was brought back by AVA & VIV. I first discovered the $10 tee when I was in Dallas after just complaining that I could never wear the t-shirt and jeans combo without looking like I was about to clean the house. The $10 tee from Target has been a staple in my closet ever since. I use them to travel, workout in, and also to pair with things like jeans and flare skirts. When I visited the Target headquarters, this was one of my first questions. "Are you bringing back the $10 tee?" LOL. I wasn't playing. It has a perfect fit and not too much give or stretch. Too much stretch in a t-shirt can make it roll up, and too much give can cause the t-shirt to lose shape easily. It used to have a mini pocket but was removed. I'd like to see some crew necks added as well.
A lot of you have noticed that I've started wearing pants more. It's because the plus size options are getting better, and I feel like I can look great both casually and dressed up. Three years ago, I didn't feel like that, which is probably one of the reasons for this blog. I always felt like that since I'm big, I have to have a certain upkeep and appearance. In the last year, I've allowed myself to relax a little more and to be okay with being comfortable. Although this is not one of my elaborate looks, I feel really pretty in this simple look.
Style Notes: Shoes are from Lane Bryant, but you may not recognize them. I cut off the angl ed strap. The jeans are by Carmakoma. They are super comfortable with a lot of stretch. I am wearing the XL or the size 24. The t-shirt is a size 2X.

It's been forever since I've worn a wrap dress, but every since I saw Kiah, from Rez to the City, in hers two years ago, I've wanted one. This gorgeous wrap from Mynt1792 is everything. I haven't had it long, but I've already worn it twice. One here in the Bay on a chilly day and I just wore it while I was in NYC this past week. I knew that it would travel well. I didn't have to do any ironing, just pull out and go! The fabric is super soft and is so comfortable, but chic at the same time. I would live in this dre ss if I could. I think this dress would make an awesome event dress -- something for a bridal shower, wedding, baby shower, etc.
Style Notes: For those interested in body type info, wrap dresses work for anyone's body. I think they have to be the oldest trick in the book, courtesy of Diane von Furstenberg, for working with anyone's body type. The wrap dress is the perfect length for me. I am 5'9, and you can barely see my toes peeking through. I have wide hips, so if you hips are more narrow then I think you could still achieve this length if you are 5'10 or 5'11. This dress can easily be hemmed if you are shorter. Also, this is an item you will want to have dry cleaned. Dry cleaning will keep it vibrant. I've washe d items like this before, and they never look the same after washing. This garment is an investment piece and something that I want to wear for years to come, so I'll have to treat it as such.

I have been on a lookout for a classic trench and scored this lovely piece which bares a resemblance to the Heritage trench coat from the British luxury brand, Burberry. This got me to thinking if Burberry is really worth the price or are you paying for the legacy of the brand?
Trench/Calvin Klein similar here | P olka Dot Cotton Pants/Ralph Lauren | Statement Necklace/Lane Bryant | Hot Pink Pumps/Target | Handbag/Thrifted | Lips/Electa Pink Sephora Collection
First, I do not own a Burberry trench however wearers of the iconic coats feel that shelling out $1600-1800 is absolutely justified! They swear by t he intri cate details of the garment including the hand stitching on the collar, the impeccable cut, the triple proof weather resistant cotton gabardine fabric, and the signature Burberry check lining which is carefully engineered and cut so the lines of the design remain unbroken. The company also stands behind any and all repairs from replacing the buffalo horn buttons to refurbishing their coats at no charge for the life of the coat (25+ years) or as long as you own it.
My dupe is a Calvin Klein double breasted trench in XL which cost $99.00. (BTW, itâs also my BLCW item for March. Catch up with this series here). The coat is imported but most likely produced without the intricate attention to details. My CK trench comes in a similar color, same silhouette, with a similar notched collar and rain guard on the back. The coat is made of polyester and is water resistant, l ined, st urdy, and well constructed for its $100 price point. Overall, I am quite happy with the coat; itâs an awesome transitional piece for this windy Spring weather, and I've worn it practically every day since purchasing a month ago.
I love all the detailing that goes into the Burberry trench and the fact their coats are timeless. Truth be told, their 1970âs Heritage trench could be worn today, but the question for me is do I want to wear the same coat in 20, or even 10 years from now? The answer is probably not since I get bored with clothes and my taste/style is constantly changing.
Just curious, would you purchase a Burberry trench with so many dupes in the market ranging from high end to low end? Or, does craftsmanship, durability, brand legacy, superb customer service, and luxury trumps price?
xx Delilah ps..In case you were wondering, it was wonderful to unplug for awhile but feels awesome to be back blogging again. Thanks for sticking around. Until next time, Stay Fab!

A few years ago I started noticing this trend in fashion blogging—tutus.
Blame it on SJP and Sex and the City if you will, but tutus were suddenly everywhere. Petite girls, plus size girls, women of all shapes and colors were donning fluffy skirts and posing for pictures on rooftops, desert roads, beaches and urban city streets. Oh lo ok, another tutu pic…
Cut to the present. I was deep in the throes of a stream of crappy dates—feeling blue and lackluster. I’d sought solace at the bottom two containers of Haagen Dazs Limited Edition Peanut Butter Pie. I had exasperated all my Back Up Guys via text and watched Sleepless in Seattle for the third time when I came to the conclusion of the cold, hard truth--- if I wanted to get My Magic back, I was going to have to get it myself. And that’s when the idea pinged over my head like a cartoon lightbulb: I wanted a tutu.
What would I do with one? Where would I wear it? How on earth did buying one make sense?
I thre w away e ach of these practical questions and turned to Etsy. A quick search revealed dozens of vendors offering tutus. I flipped through page after page till I found the perfect match and squealed in delight when I saw a HUGE color card to pick from. Did I want bright pink? Vivid aqua? Shocking yellow? And then I saw My Color. Electric Coral. It spoke it me. It Dolly Parton-sang to me. Before my Super Ego could take over, I placed an order for my very own, custom-made tutu.
It arrived on a Thursday. Packed into a small, lightweight box. And when I took it out and released its glory unto the world--- the heavens sang.
